How we handle your data and your trust

Short, plain answers to the questions people ask before they use a new product. Every statement here is backed by code or a document we keep, and we say when we do not know.

Last reviewed:

What do you collect, and why?

  • We collect what you give us to run your practice: your name and email, the CV text and job descriptions you add, and your answers.
  • Your CV and the job description are used to write questions for the role you choose. The microphone is used only when you record a spoken answer, and you can type instead.
  • Voice answers are turned into text and the audio is deleted from our servers right after. The speech-to-text provider may keep it briefly under its own terms, which the privacy policy describes.
  • Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • For signed-in accounts we record basic product events, such as finishing a session, with your account ID and no content.
  • We use no advertising trackers and no cross-site tracking.

Privacy policy, section 2

Where is it stored, and who processes it?

  • Your account data, CV text and interview history are stored in a database in Ireland (EU).
  • The app runs on Microsoft Azure in Germany, behind Cloudflare, which handles network traffic worldwide.
  • To write questions and feedback, text from your CV, the job description and your answers goes to an AI provider: Anthropic, Groq or OpenAI, with fallbacks that the privacy policy names. Some of them process data outside the EU, and the privacy policy explains the safeguards.
  • Other companies process data for us: Supabase (database), Microsoft (hosting), Cloudflare (network), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google (sign-in, and read-aloud voice on paid plans), Sentry (scrubbed error reports) and Langfuse (AI usage metadata, EU).
  • Only if you use them: Notion or Google Calendar if you connect them, and Jina to read a job link you paste when we cannot read it directly.

Privacy policy, section 5

What does the AI do, and what does it not do?

  • Questions, scores and feedback are written by AI, are labelled as AI, and are for practice only.
  • The interviewer and the coach are AI, not people. A persona is a character and does not change that.
  • The AI makes no hiring decisions about you, and we have no feature that sends your answers or scores to an employer or a recruiter.
  • The AI is not medical, legal or career advice. The coach is told not to diagnose, and to be kind and brief when you sound distressed.
  • If a practice answer or coach message clearly says you may harm yourself, we stop and show free support lines (112, and helplines in Poland) instead of scoring or replying as usual.
  • We do not use your data to train AI models.
  • Scores are estimates from an AI, tuned to the seniority in the job description. You can mark feedback as inaccurate.
  • We test our AI against fixed scenarios in English and Polish. How we test explains the method and its limits.

How we test our interviewer

What do you never do?

  • We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We never send emails or applications to anyone on your behalf. Emails from us go to your own address, or to our team when you write to us.
  • We have no feature that makes a public link to your sessions or reports. You can copy or print a report yourself.
  • The prep delegate is not available yet. When it is, it asks for your approval before any step that sends something or changes your data, and you can undo what it created.
  • When you delete your account, your data is erased from our live systems at once. Copies in encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days, and payment records that Polish accounting law requires are kept for 7 years.

What can I control?

  • In Settings you can download all your data (JSON) and delete your account.
  • You can delete single sessions, or many at once, from History.
  • You can turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app for password sign-ins.
  • The cookie banner lets you choose essential cookies only.
  • Sending masked prompt excerpts to our AI monitoring is off by default. It is a switch in Settings.
  • Sharing an AI example with us is optional, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings.
  • You can see the apps that act on your account and remove them in Settings.
  • We use no third-party analytics. Our own visit counter, when it is on, sets no cookies, stores no IP address or user ID, and sends nothing if your browser sends Do Not Track.

How does billing work?

  • There is a Free plan with monthly limits. Pro, Max and one-time passes unlock more. What your plan includes is in Settings, and prices are on the pricing page.
  • Paid subscriptions renew until you cancel. You cancel yourself with Manage billing, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • A one-time pass does not renew, and you are not charged again.
  • The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Withdrawal and refunds follow section 6 of the Terms. This page adds no extra promise.
  • If you stop paying, your plan returns to Free. Your account and data stay until you delete them.

PricingTerms, section 6

How do you protect my account?

  • To report a security problem, write to support@myinterviewer.ai (see /.well-known/security.txt). We run no bug bounty and make no legal safe-harbour promise.
  • Data travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, and new passwords are checked against known breaches without sending the password.
  • Your CV content is encrypted at rest with a dedicated key. Our service decrypts it to write your questions, so this protects it if a database or backup leaks, not from our own service.
  • You can see every device signed in to your account and end any you do not recognise, and we email you when a new device signs in.
  • If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we tell the Polish regulator within 72 hours, and we tell you without undue delay when the risk is high.

Privacy policy, section 9

What is not available yet?

  • Not available yet: reviewer invites and cohort programs. We give no dates.
  • Built but switched off for everyone: the prep delegate and the AI panel debrief.
  • Not open yet: connecting your own AI assistant to your account.

What can't you promise?

  • We cannot promise that practising here will get you a job or a better outcome.
  • AI can be wrong. The self-harm check catches only clear statements. It is a safety net, not a clinical screen.
  • Some AI providers keep data for a short time under their own terms, for example up to 30 days for abuse monitoring at Groq. We cannot change their terms.
  • My Interviewer is run by an individual in Poland, not a company, so replies can take time. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
